Midwest Territory Mgr

Michaela McCracken

My name is Michaela McCracken and I am the new Calf Consultant with Dairy Tech Inc. I studied at Iowa State University and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. During my time at ISU, I was involved in some undergraduate and graduate research projects focused on dairy calf health, and this is where I discovered my passion for calves.

I have currently been in the dairy industry for about 9 years. I started as a Regional Sales and Marketing manager with ImmuCell Corp and when I was hired with them, I moved from Iowa where I grew up, to Idaho to begin my career. I spent 3.5 years with ImmuCell traveling the Pacific North West. I then had the opportunity to work for Merck Animal Health as a Territory Manager for 5 years in the SW Idaho region calling on large dairy operations. I learned a lot from these opportunities and I am excited to bring some of my passion and knowledge to the Dairy Tech Team.

I have recently moved back to Iowa where I will cover the Midwest region for Dairy Tech. I am most excited about working for a small team where I can really see where my efforts pay off, not only in the company, but in the newborn calves we care for every day. I have sold many things from vaccines, antibiotics, to colostrum supplements, and the one thing I’ve seen that consistently shows a quick, visible difference in the health of calves is feeding them clean, quality colostrum in a bio-secure manner. I am also really excited to get to know the Midwest region again and visit with all of the diverse farmers here and around the country.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, swimming and water skiing at my parents’ lake house, and walking our dogs, Izzy and Sparky.
